Before spending Hero Siege Gold on another offensive upgrade, Season 10 players should reassess Ignore Resistance. The September 2, 2026 update corrected a calculation that had left the stat working at roughly 1% of its intended strength. That means older equipment comparisons may seriously undervalue resistance penetration.

The September Correction Changes Gear Priorities

Patch 7.0.8 addressed both Ignore Resistance and monster resistance calculations. Patch 7.0.9 followed the same day with another Ignore Resistance correction. Evaluate equipment with those fixes applied rather than relying on damage impressions gathered beforehand. The reported 1% effectiveness does not mean every affected character now deals one hundred times more damage. The practical improvement depends on how much resistance previously reduced the relevant damage and how much Ignore Resistance the character already carried.

Match Penetration to Your Main Damage

The clearest candidates are characters concentrating damage into fire, cold, lightning, poison, or arcane skills. Each corresponding Ignore Resistance stat applies when dealing that damage type. A strong fire roll therefore should not determine an upgrade decision for a character primarily dealing cold damage. The practical implication for mixed-damage characters is to prioritize the element responsible for most meaningful damage, rather than spreading investment evenly. Inspect skill descriptions and conversion effects first. Your class name alone is not enough to identify which resistance stat deserves attention.

Find Underinvestment Without Overshooting

The official mechanics reference places elemental Ignore Resistance caps at 100%. Investment beyond the applicable cap provides no further resistance ignoring, making excess rolls a clear place to investigate replacement options. Check the relevant total before valuing another piece purely for penetration. For underinvestment, try a controlled equipment swap. Keep your main skill, route, and other offensive stats as consistent as possible, then compare several runs. If additional penetration repeatedly improves difficult encounters more than the competing item, retain it. One unusually fast fight is weak evidence.

Compare Clear Speed, Not Isolated Numbers

Resistance ignoring matters when the matching resistance is suppressing damage; its advantage shrinks against targets with little relevant resistance. Consequently, penetration priorities should reflect the enemies you actually farm, not an assumed universal requirement for every activity. Compare it with skill levels, applicable damage bonuses, and speed-related upgrades through repeatable testing. Consider diminishing percentage gains as damage improves, plus the hard resistance cap. Also measure travel, resource downtime, and survival: a larger hit does not automatically produce a faster farming cycle.

The September fix warrants a fresh equipment review, not indiscriminate stacking. If you are considering Hero Siege Gold for sale, first identify the upgrade that improves your regular route, then spend toward that measured goal.
